Here's what Sydney had to say about their love story:

"Nathan and I met 4 years ago at a bar in Phoenixville, PA. Our friend groups became friends and we built a solid foundation from just being friends for several months. At the time of us meeting, Nathan had a beard that he was growing for a full year- and the year was almost over, so as you can imagine, it was a LONG beard. I wasn’t initially physically attracted to him because of the beard situation. I thought this is how he’s always looked and something he will always want to have.

Once he hit a year of hair growth, he got a haircut and surprised us out one night. I was so shocked at how handsome he was, I couldn’t believe it! A week later, we started dating. 4 years, one apartment, our first house, and a dog later, he proposed right across from the bar we first met at and then had a special surprise party at a nearby beer garden with all of our friends and family. It was amazing! (He has not wanted to have that long beard again)!"
