Plus, fast glances at your watch are typically easier during work, especially when looking at your phone means that you end up distracted for several minutes.

Most women enjoy many different types of jewelry, such as pendants, rings, earrings, and bracelets. For most men, however, watches are the only type of jewelry they wear (with the exception of their wedding rings). Many men become collectors of watches for this reason. 

Of course, women often wear and enjoy nice watches, as well! But a great timepiece can become a signature fashion item for a guy who otherwise has no other interest in jewelry. It’s unlikely that watches will go out of style when they are the only jewelry item that most men wear.
